The Shift Series: Kundalini Yoga and Art

The Shift Series: • Innately Creative •
The Inaugural ‘Kundalini Yoga and Art’ One Day Retreat
September 27, 2025 @ 9AM-5PM ~ [160+hst]
Innate: inborn, natural
Create: bring into existence
We are all artists. Creativity is not a rare ability, and it does not need to be difficult to access. Those who do not actively engage in the traditional arts might be wary of calling themselves artists. They might precieve creativity as something extraordinary or beyond their capabilities. A calling for the special few who are born with these gifts. Fortunately, this is not the case. Creativity is a fundamental aspect of being human – it is our birthright and its for all of us.
To create is to bring something into existence that wasn’t there before. Through our state of being we’re already creators: creating our experience of reality and composing the world we perceive.
The purpose and intention of this retreat is to enter a state of relaxation and remembrance where we SHIFT gears: away from the busyness, away from our constant analytical thinking and closer to an intuitive feeling connection in the body where we remember to live as a creator is a way of perceiving. A practice of paying attention and refining our sensitivity.
Reset •
In this one-day immersive retreat we will first explore the technology of Kundalini Yoga, an ancient yogic practice that helps to elevate our awareness and bridge the connection with our higher consciousness through breathwork, body locks, dynamic movement, meditation, mantra and relaxation with gong. We’ll reignite our creative spark with a full 1.5hr practice incorporating a kriya and meditation that focus on the 2nd and 5th energy centers (the “seats” of our creativity and creative expression).
We’ll then spend the rest of the day allowing our creative juices to flow freely by making art and exploring our curiosities:
Create •
Step by step guided instruction of Neurographic art design, start to finish at your own pace, leave with a framed original art piece made by you
Nourish •
Clean, high vibrational food
Explore •
5 achers of nature to retreat into to reconnect
Detox •
Sauna and Cold plunge to get the lymphatic system going
Observe •
We will look for what draws us in, what pushes us away and take the time to notice what feeling tones arise and where they lead. We will disconnect from our devices to stay present and connected to our internal landscapes.
