Spring Tune Up

About This Day Retreat
Immerse yourself in the ancient art and science of Ayurveda (science of life), the oldest traditional medical system still thriving today, beautiful, and more relevant than ever. Indulge in a full day of nourishing Ayurvedic practices, yoga and rituals inspired by the onset of springtime with an emphasis on Kapha Season. Ayurveda is all about balance, restoring and maintaining wellness throughout the seasons of the year, and the seasons of your life. Learn about balancing your Dosha (innate imbalances that can lead to illness) and some natural practices of self-care, (massage, neti, oil pulling, seasonal eating) to restore and maintain your unique doshic balance. Enjoy some time in the kitchen preparing Spring Salts and digestive tea. You’ll enjoy Doshic yoga, breathwork and meditation, and a fresh and delicious Ayurvedic lunch, snacks and drinks; all infused with the energy and majesty of the Ganaraska River and forest. Some fun takeaways are included, as well as a manual with some theory, explanations, instructions, and recipes for self care.

"A committed student of Yoga and Ayurveda...and many things in between; life's backroads have led me from experimental painting and sculpture at OCAD, graduating as a Certified Pastry Chef from George Brown College, to operating a successful Aromatherapy/Reflexology practice for nearly 2 decades in Orono. Yoga/Ayurveda became the natural next steps to self-inquiry/discovery enabling me to assist people in a variety of ways to feel good in their own bodies and lives. As an E- CYT-500 adding in an endless stream of continuing education, workshops, retreats, and immersions ( skills including Hatha/Vinyasa, Yin, Yoga Nidra, Chair yoga...), I enjoy designing classes and retreats that are accessible and comfortably creative with a firm belief that yoga does not have to be fancy to be meaningful. Through movement, stillness, and breathing together, we can all share in the connection of our collective human experience joyfully and peacefully."
